Kim Lee has both served and led people for over 18 years. Most of her serving and leading has been in the church. Therefore, she has served under people and has led people. Her outstanding years of service has been the catalyst for exemplary leadership. Kim served at Victory Christian Center as Deaconess, Minister and Elder for at least 15 years combined. She chooses to work behind the scene, but finds herself in the forefront. This is an area where she’s trying to become comfortable in. She is often reluctant to take leadership roles, but finds herself leading people whenever it is necessary.
She has spoken many times at different events where some of her speeches were impromptu speaking. She also had the opportunity to speak at Sunday morning service and Bible Study. Kim was an Instructor and Assistant Instructor at the Apostolic School of Ministry. Some classes that were taught by her included Spiritual Gifts,
Ascension Gifts, Basic Bible Doctrine, Spiritual Warfare, The Art of Preaching, Women in Ministry and Occult and Cultic Teaching. While teaching New Member Class for over 10 years she became responsible to the new members and they became dear to her heart. She taught several classes, which were “You Must be born again, You are the Righteousness of God, Healing for the Christian, The Baptism of the Holy Spirit, Tithes and Offering, Confessing God’s Word and Victorious Life.” Her teaching is practical and organized. During her trip to Uganda, Africa she was honored to speak to a congregation who was so grateful for what they had, which wasn’t much. That experience changed her life and now she’s more grateful and thankful for the things she has.
After joining her new church, “The Church of Christian Compassion” under the tutelage of her pastor W. Lonnie Herndon, she reunited with her passion to pray and now has opportunities to pray for the congregation during Sunday morning prayer and whenever she’s pulled on to pray. She also prayed on their Monday Night Prayer Line as well as Thursday Night Prayer when needed. Kim finds herself praying for people even when they don’t ask her. Most of her prayers are unknown to those she’s praying for. Pastor W. Lonnie Herndon has recognized and publicized Kim Lee as an Elder of the Church Of Christian Compassion.
As an administrator for over 10 years she had the privileged to over see and lead many ministries during her time at Victory Christian Center. Those ministries consisted of The Wisdom Shoppe (Bookstore), Tape Ministry, Hospitality, Evangelism, Dance Ministry, The Nursery, Nursing Home, Discipleship, Sunday School, New Members, Live stream, Marketing, and the Website. There she was hardworking and often committed herself to tasks and projects with the aim of being helpful to the mission and to the people she served and led.
Kim was a student at Compassion School of Ministry. She was enrolled in a two year program which consist of ten courses. The courses were divided into three categories: The Principle, The Practical and The Personal. Each course is designed not only to provide instruction, but also to allow students the opportunity to interact and develop within a supportive environment. Kim was also enrolled in the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) and graduated with a Level 2 Certification in Information Technology. She attended both schools at the same time. It was a difficult task, however she graduation from both with a GPA close to 4.0. She continues to attend classes at the Compassion School of Ministry. In 2003, Kim graduated from School of the Word Bible Institute as valedictorian.
Kim is the author of her first book and it’s now apart of her collection. Through her experience with serving and leading people her book was birth. The title of the book is “Don’t Get It Twisted.” The principles in the book will help you find the balance when serving and leading people. It will also help you become effective in doing so. The principles can be used whenever and wherever you serve or lead people. She works daily to apply the principles of her book to her life so she can be effective when serving and leading all people. Even before the book was completed Kim found herself putting to practice what she has experience in hopes she will become a better leader and one who serves people effectively and efficiently.
